Veterans And VA Tuberculosis Drug Study And Visits
Veterans Administration plans second week monthly visits to colleges to interview veterans missing subsistence checks. Priority handling will be based on information from VA representatives. VA aims to reduce overpayments and inform student veterans of sight times. Preliminary findings on streptomycin for tuberculosis show reduced dosages and injections lowering adverse effects, with Walla Walla VA hospital one of 20 sites. Still not a cure all, the drug helps but is not a wonder drug. Pacific Northwest VA offices served 624000 veterans and interviewed over 440 in September while aiding with claims for compensation or pension.

How to Keep a Husband Happy Column Found
Yesterday I found a clipped copy of my column on How to Keep a Husband Happy in the Clarion file. A comparison with another copy shows it matches mine exactly. The last reader noted is Prissy Hoskins, deemed the town's Old Maid, now reportedly with a new partner.

Shock in bullets occurs after impact says scientist
Ted Kesting reports findings by Bill Dopperman that shock happens after a bullet hits. Ultra fast photography by Western Cartridge Company shows gelatin tests with 22 caliber bullets, revealing that shock increases with tissue expansion and that maximum shock occurs when bullets of similar velocity pass completely through the target.
