August Jaussi to Fill Two Year Mission in Holland
August Jaussi son of Susanna Jaussi has been called to serve a two year mission for the LDS church in Holland A farewell dance was held Wednesday evening in the Paris pavilion He will go to the Mission Home in Salt Lake City next Monday for ten days of instruction He will leave November 24 for the east coast and sail about November 29 for his mission to Holland August graduated from Fielding High School class of 1943 joined the US Navy serving 34 months with 20 in the Pacific After his release he attended Ricks College Rexburg for a year and spent the past summer at the Budge ranch Friends wish him luck in his missionary work

Impressive memorial services for Oneal Rich Linford were held Saturday at 2 pm in the St Charles ward chapel with Bishop Arlin Pugmire presiding and a program including songs, solos, duets, remarks by church leaders, and a graveside rite by American Legion Post No 84. Linford, born March 22, 1920 in St Charles Idaho, served in the Air Corps after finishing Fielding High, and faced early health battles before fulfilling his mission and military service.

Garden City Boy Dies in Auto Accident
Kent Benson 17 son of Willis and Stella Benson of Garden City Utah was killed in a single vehicle crash returning from a dance near Paris. The Chevrolet left the road struck a utility pole, severing the top and ejecting him from the car. Barnard Hodges, who was driving, said he likely fell asleep at the wheel. Benson attended Fielding High School in Paria last year and Laketown High this year. he is survived by his parents and three sisters. Funeral services were held in Garden City.
