Local Community Notes and Visits Open Quiet Summer Weekend
A genealogy committee event featured Brute Peterson rendering a piano solo. Coupled visitors included Joe Bunderson Sarah Peterson and Pearl Merkley who traveled to Montpelier to see George Stock and Virginia Waterfaus homes. A new street light installation began along the town highway while Red Arnell store suffered a break-in with a harmonica as the only item taken. Families and neighbors moved in and out of Logan Sugar City and Montpelier visiting relatives and touring Yellowstone Park. A planned county road to the beach received thanks as a social gathering closed the week with graduations and a community luncheon. A reunion for the 8 O Arnell family is set for June 22 1957 in St Charles Ward amusement hall.
