Idaho seeks public input on new bait regulations
State official Ross Leonard says public opinion on replacing repealed bait rules is unclear. He notes the repeal aimed to allow banning minnow bait in uninfested waters, but reaction favors a complete ban more than expected, while some live-minnow supporters oppose a broad ban. Current law bans whole fish or parts as bait except salmon eggs.
