Idaho Ledger Reports Biennial Savings in State Law Enforcement
Idaho officials announce biennial savings of 229000 from a management study in the Idaho Department of Law Enforcement. Since Warner Mills became commissioner annual savings reached 41400 by trimming ten positions, plus 73520 from 18 more cuts under James Defenbach. Savings funded 12 additional State Patrolmen and are expected to recur. A similar Health Department study is ongoing with hopes of further large savings. Also notes the Fourth Annual Tri-State International Travel Trade Symposium at Yellowstone May 14-17 with Gov Samuelson attending and a world premiere film at the Governors Banquet.
