Woman sets record in Idaho legislature for serving in both houses
Mrs Curtis F Pike Democrat Boise became the first woman to sit in both Idaho chambers. Appointed to the senate in 1935 to fill a vacancy she was sworn into the house on Monday after James Lusk resigned. Her husband is a notable Idaho Masonic leader.

Justice Budge Celebrates 24 Years on Idaho High Bench
Justice Alfred Budge marked 24 years on Idaho’s supreme court bench since his November 28 1914 appointment. The Bear Lake native said he feels as well as when he started and noted his tenure is second only to the late Justice Sullivan. Budge has served as a district judge and county prosecutor, is 70, married with eight children including Hamer Budge a Boise state representative.
