Phosphate Plant Project Awarded to Idaho Contractor
Central Farmers in south Idaho announces a 50 million dollar phosphate plant development. The project covers rock processing and metaphosphate manufacture with Galt Lake Construction Co. of Idaho awarded the general traction contract. Nelson Engineering of Salt Lake City is the designer. About 300 workers will be employed during construction. Shipments of rock ore begin by late 1957 with the metaphosphate plant to be in operation by October 1958.
