Maple Weekend boosts New York maple farms with tours and tastings
Maple Weekend drew visitors to more than 150 locations across New York for a first spring showcase by the New York State Maple Producers Association. Farms such as Red Schoolhouse Maple in Palermo Yardley Maple in Mexico and Maple Hollow Farm in Hannibal offered tours pancake breakfasts and tastings while highlighting weather impact sap yields and the local economy. A second Maple Weekend is set for April 2 3 with similar events including a Taste of Maple Cook-Off at Red Schoolhouse Maple.
