Clifton Park man charged with grand larceny in Oswego

State police charged 21 year old Luke F Brignola of Clifton Park with fourth degree grand larceny after he allegedly accessed a sedan with a spare key, drove it from the owner's driveway, and left it stuck on the road beyond Scriba Town Court. He was arraigned and remanded to Oswego County jail and faces Oswego City Court on March 22.

Fort Ontario to host Dance-Off 2016 Saturday

At Fort Ontario State Historic Site in Oswego the Fort Ontario Dance-Off 2016 will run noon to two hours on Saturday. The free event invites community participation in historical attire and will be filmed for an online museum themed video competition coordinated by Fort Ontario intern Rachel Buller.

Plan underway for SR 104 revitalization

Oswego experts present a Bergmann Associates plan to revitalize state Route 104 with updated sidewalks bike paths trees and landscaping to improve walkability safety and access to shopping. The project aims to boost home values reduce runoff and draw more business while addressing a high share of residents without cars. Phoenix teen faces drug and weapons charges after park incident

Police say Fulton based state police charged a Phoenix girl Sunday with several drug and weapons offenses after an investigation of a suspicious vehicle at Schroepple park. A passenger admitted possessing cocaine heroin prescription pills amphetamine pills marijuana a portable scale and metal knuckles with a knife attachment found in the car.

Students' experiment heads for space voyage

A Central Square Middle School team led by earth science teacher James Kuhl is one of ten nationwide to have a science experiment flown in a Perlan II space glider this summer. The five sixth graders designed tests on terraforming Mars and atmospheric effects on bacteria for altitudes above 90,000 feet in the stratosphere.

Fulton mourns death of longtime volleyball coach Caroline Richardson

Fulton community mourns the loss of Caroline Richardson 62 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She served 29 years as Fulton City School District varsity girls volleyball coach and recently retired from teaching. Richardson guided the Red Raiders to the Section III Class A semifinals before the match with Oswego.
