Oswego Students Win 2016 SUNY Chancellor's Awards
Three SUNY Oswego students Juanita Diaz Tyler Pelle and Iain Thompson receive the 2016 Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence for academic leadership and community service. Diaz a zoology major from Cincinnati leads in Diversity and Inclusion and mentors students. Pelle from Sparta New Jersey studies meteorology and applied mathematics and will pursue a PhD in earth system science. Thompson from Buffalo majors in biochemistry and co-founded the Pre-Health Care Club and led fundraising for Friedreich's ataxia. The ceremony is set for April 5 at 2 p.m. in the Empire State Plaza Convention Center.
