Oswego student charged over counterfeit $50 bills on bus ride
Albis G. Diaz-Nunez, 20, of Bronx and resident of Oneida Hall, faces first degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny charges after using counterfeit $50 bills to pay for a $2 bus ride on March 6 and attempting another transaction on March 13. Police traced additional counterfeit notes to Florida New Jersey and Albany and contacted the Secret Service. Diaz-Nunez was released on $1500 cash bail and $2500 bond. he faces up to 15 years in prison on the forged instrument count.
