Tax plan threatens state local services and tax deductions
Republicans push a tax bill that could cut state and local funding and cap deductions, hitting high tax areas like New York and California. Critics say the measure shifts wealth to wealthier regions, raising transit costs and potentially reducing educational and public safety funding while many households lose the ability to deduct state and local taxes.
