Oswego Ship Chandlery Host A Sailor Historian Visit
Oswego on Water Street hosts John S. Parsons a longtime ship chandler and famed source on Great Lakes sailing. Contributing Columnist Richard Palmer recalls Parsons memories of schooners windjammers and Oswego harbor life while Parsons dictated songs and shared vessel lore. Parsons died in 1940 leaving a collection to the Oswego County Historical Society.
