Memorial recalls NPS officer Margaret Anderson killed at Mount Rainier

The 34 year old mother of two, Margaret Anderson, a National Park Service law enforcement officer, was shot at Mount Rainier while helping set up a roadblock on New Year’s Day. Investigators later found the gunman, Benjamin Colton Barnes, dead in a snowy creek. Barnes, a 24 year old Iraq War veteran, died by drowning with hypothermia noted.
