Police Arrests Warrant Hits Ottawa and Topeka Suspects

Police report two arrests on city warrants. Billy Sunday, 29, of Topeka was taken into custody at Franklin County Jail at 2:58 p.m. Tuesday on an Ottawa warrant. Michelle L. Leecy, 41, of Ottawa was arrested at 10:31 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of South Ash Street on an Ottawa warrant.

Deer Collisions Reported on Colorado Road

At 20 a.m. Tuesday a vehicle driven by Kelly Shepherd 33 Pomona struck a deer in the 2000 block of Colorado Road causing damages over 1000 dollars. At 7:21 a.m. Tuesday Judy Broyles 61 Williamsburg hit a deer in the 700 block of Colorado Road with unspecified damage.

Theft Reports From City Businesses Noted By Police

Ottawa police logged two theft reports. A 31 year old man said Loyd Builders mailed a business check that was likely stolen during delivery, with forged checks written elsewhere. A 21 year old woman reported a broken window and overnight theft at Cash-to-Go on East Logan Street.
