Wamee go Ottawa High School senior Garrett Brown finished 3-1 and second in the 138 pound division at the Wamego Invitational. Ottawa placed 10th of 15 as seven Cyclones wrestled to sixth or better. Coach Tokarz praised freshmen and sophomores and noted Brown’s strong day despite the final match loss.
Central Heights High School girls beat Kansas City Christian 45 24 in the Ike Cearfoss Invitational with seven 3 pointers and six players scoring. Megan Swendgen led with 13 points, Horstick and Cecilia Wuertz added eight each.
