D F Davis editor of the Silver Creek Land died at his residence at noon from pneumonia after a week of illness. He had a 30 year Nebraska newspaper career including the Schuyler Herald Columbus Democrat and Telegram. He served as Columbus postmaster in 1894 56. Funeral services will be held in Silver Creek Tuesday and the body sent to Columbus for burial.
