Death Notice for James Cotton at 80 in Central City
James Todd Cotton age 80 died Sunday at Parkview Rest Home Central City where he had lived seven years. Services were held Wednesday morning at Kepner Roberts funeral chapel.

Two Car Collision Claims Lives Of R Morris and Debra Volkmer
A two car crash Friday evening near Stromsburg claimed the lives of Ricky L Morris 20 of Osceola and Debra L Volkmer 19 of Waco. The westbound car carrying Kurt Torell 15 of Gresham and Neal F Carlson 15 of Stromsburg was hospitalized with Carlson in critical condition. Mourning services were held in Exeter for Morris and Volkmer with survivors including parents siblings and extended family.

Bloodmobile drives strong donor turnout at Shelby Legion
The Shelby American Legion Hall hosted a Bloodmobile on Monday September 22. Of 83 donors, 80 pints were collected. Fifteen first time donors, a 5 gallon donor, a 2 gallon donor and several half-gallon donors contributed. Osceola participants included Gene Sterup, Alta Wieseman, Bernard Gissler, Mrs. Robert Wieseman, Norman Hofbauer, and Bertha Dunn.
