Local man injured after horse kick in Polk county barn
Carl Thelander 36, unmarried, living with his brother on the Larson Bros farm near Platte precinct, was severely injured Monday when kicked or struck by a horse. His right kidney was removed at Luthran hospital in York. doctors report progress toward recovery. The incident mirrors a similar accident involving Fritz H. Olson at the same farm last year.

Golden Wedding Anniversary at Rising City
