Osceola 4-H Challengers win a third straight 1000 prize from Colgate Palmolive in the Help Young America contest. Members entered were Mike Bryan Paul Hennings John Lux Mike Sigler and Mike Veclik with Lucille Veclik as leader. Proceeds support 4-H programs in the county and state.

Orioles Fly Past Bulldogs 14-6 in Season Opener

State Fair Ribbon Winners From Polk County Fair

Polk County 4 H State Fair results announced from Lincoln late Monday night with livestock ribbons and judging and song contest placements. The report notes more activities planned and completion next week. Enrollment Up Slightly In Osceola Public Schools 1976-77

Enrollment in Osceola public schools rose slightly with 426 students registered for the 1976 1977 term, up from 424 last year. Superintendent Kenneth Sipes reported after the first week, highlighting class groups and judging entries led by Joel Carlson and Amy Jo Lemkau among many 4 H projects and club activities at the fairgrounds cleanup by the Debettes Club participants.

Wedding Rites Solemnized At Museum Church

The ceremony took place Saturday at the museum church as the bride wore an old fashioned wheat colored gown with a high neck full sleeves and lace trim. She carried a nosegay. Attendants were Mr and Mrs Jary Morgan of Tekamah.
