Hebron Family Narrowly Escapes After Car Struck At Crossing
The Robert Gondringer family of Hebron escaped injury when their car was struck by a motor from the U P near the Osceola Fair Grounds crossing. Gondringer tried to pass a stalled vehicle but was forced into a ditch as the other car rammed the stalled vehicle. The crash happened at the same crossing where a Minnesota tourist recently died.

Gene Finecy Succumbs to Heart Attack at 82
Gene Finecy died of a heart attack at Genoa Hospital at two o clock Thursday morning after being stricken Wednesday afternoon. He was 82 and had lived in the area 75 years since moving here at age seven. Funeral at Fairview church Saturday afternoon with burial in Beulah cemetery. Survivors include his wife and six children, Mrs Walter Buhholz Osceola, Lester Finecy Marcelene Missouri, Lowell Finecy Sutherland Nebraska, Mrs Susan Graham, Mrs Cedric Finecy and Mrs George Carter of Silver Creek.

Polk farmer killed in tractor accident near Swede Home
Arthur Monson about 50 was killed Friday on the farm he operated with his brother Joe near Swede Home. He was trying to start one tractor using another when the vehicles moved apart and trapped him. His body was found by his wife Mrs Joe Monson as tractors ran. Burial followed service at the Methodist Church in Osceola.
