Challengers Attend Nebraska State Capitol Dedication

Innesses Establish G James Inness Scholarship at Nebraska
The University of Nebraska Foundation introduces a full tuition G James Inness Scholarship for upperclassmen in memory of G James Inness. Funded by George J Inness and his wife, the award supports students with proven academic merit across Lincoln campus programs. Inness, a Nebraska native and banking executive, died in a 1975 private plane crash with his wife and two children. Initial awards will be given fall 1977 by the Financial Aids and Scholarship Office.

Polk Cubs beat the Bulldogs 12-7 with a late 81 yard fumble return for a touchdown after trailing 0-6. Dan Bond led the Bulldogs in rushing and yards, while Randy Branting and Shenk connected on a 30 yard TD pass for Polk.
