District No. 18 near Genoa hosted Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fyfe Jr and family Tuesday evening. Mr and Mrs Louis Schmidt and family visited. Sunday callers were Mr and Mrs Arthur Langhammer of Columbus in the John MiceI home. Omaha callers included Mr and Mrs Frank Andersen last week. Their grandson Tobie Fletcher accompanied them home and on Friday his mother Alice Fletcher came for him.

Bazaar and Lunch by Lutheran Ladies Aid on Nov 2

The Lutheran Ladies Aid will hold a bazaar on Tuesday November 2 in the building east of the Anderson Store on the south side of the square. Lunch will be served from 10 00 a m to 10 00 p m. A bazaar will be held during that time as well.

Mr and Mrs Leon Tureman of Oregon state escaped serious harm after their Studebaker coupe went out of control on a fill west of the George Berck farm east of Osceola. They were hospitalized Tuesday night and released Wednesday morning with non life threatening injuries.

Longtime Swedish Immigrant Swan Cederberg Dies at 86

Funeral services were held for Swan S Cederberg at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church Swede Home with Pastor Alfield Franzen officiating. Born March 3 1862 in Kinslinge Parish Sweden he immigrated to the United States in 1884 settling near Saronville Nebraska. He died October 21 after a long illness at age 86 years 7 months 18 days. He leaves four children six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Interment Swede Home Cemetery.
