Serious Auto Collision Injures Leonard Luft
Leonard Luft age 22 and his mother were injured when their Dodge touring car collided with Dr. Geo A. Flippin's Chandler roadster on Meridian road south of Benedict. Luft suffered a fractured skull and critical injuries. he was taken to Lutheran hospital at York for treatment. Dr. Flippin sustained minor injuries while his car wrecked. Mrs Luft escaped unharmed. The crash occurred as Flippin attempted to pass another vehicle and could not complete the maneuver.

Mrs Frank Langhammer Clementina Janicek was born in Austria on November 12 1873 and died October 2 1924 at her home northeast of Shelby. She came to America at age three with her family settling in Butler County Netz. She married Frank Langhammer on April 23 1895 and had five children Annie Frank Leo and Arthur with one infant that died. Surviving relatives include three brothers John Adolph Rudolph and sister Mrs Anton Heimer. Funeral services were held at the family home on October 4 with burial in Shelby cemetery.
