Osceola residents Deverne Johnson of Chicago and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ted Johnson spent the weekend visiting local families. Guests at Swede Haven Sunday for a birthday included Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Burke Tressie Brown of Osceola and Mrs. Walter White of Shelby. The Osceola group also called on Mrs. Cora Van Hoosen.

Wee Club at 40th Anniversary Dinner in Shelby
The Wee Club marked its fortieth anniversary with a 6:30 dinner and program at the A&B in Shelby on Wednesday evening October 13. Four charter members Mmes. Erasmus Burritt Chas Massie Algot Yungdahl and Carl Wieseman received large mums. Mrs Burritt and Mrs Allan Kresha shared club history and the 1931 founding year. Prizes at cards went to Mmes. Robert Wieseman and Morris Dunn.
