Graham Moon has recovered enough from a recent operation at St. Elizabeth hospital in Lincoln to go home Saturday. Miss Bess Ray, student at the state university, spent the weekend in Shelby with her parents Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Ray. Mrs. C. W. Moon returned home after two weeks in Friend, Nebraska visiting sister Mrs. Harry Hanning and relatives. Louis Nicolas and family, eight months in Plaquemine Louisiana, returned to Shelby last Friday. Leon Nicolas left for Edmonston Canada and is en route to Alaska for work, per a letter to Shelby relatives. Mrs. Alice Shay and daughter Fern of Glendale California came to Shelby last week and will stay a month visiting Carrie Thelen and others. Captain and Mrs. E. G. Brillhart and daughter Sue left for Ft. Rucker Alabama after ten days there with friends.

Langhammer Rites Held In Shelby Community
Frank Joseph Langhammer born September 12 1869 in Langendorf Austria died October 18 1943 at 74 years. He immigrated to America in 1874 and settled in Nebraska then Polk County before making Shelby his home. Survived by daughter Annie Harder of Sandpoint Idaho three sons Frank Jr Leo and Arthur seven grandchildren and others. Funeral conducted by Rev J L Garland at Shelby United Brethren Church with burial in Shelby Cemetery.
