Third annual Halloweens planned for Schuyler

Plans were started for the third annual Hallowe en party scheduled for Schuyler Tuesday evening Oct 31. Children will be entertained at a regular Hallowe en party at the high school and for older children a square dance and a modern dance will be held by the Colfax County Call.

About twenty men from the Swede Plain church and the community gathered Wednesday to paint the church white. In the afternoon the WSCS met with Mrs. Lloyd Lind as program leader. solos by Mrs. Roland Bodine and Mrs. Edwin Nyberg followed. The St Paul Lutheran Congregation held a noon fellowship dinner after worship to celebrate Mrs M L Swenson birthday and send Pastor Swenson off for Air Force Chaplain duties. Alice Lorraine Johnson, Osceola High School senior, was elected FHA District VII Parliamentarian at the first District VII convention in Columbus on October 7.
