The 1976 Osceola High School Homecoming parade began at 2 p.m. with the American Legion William Wolfe Post 91 color guard and Boy Scout troop 162 leading. The Osceola marching band followed Harvest of Harmony Queen candidate Ann Thornton in a convertible as six Homecoming King and Queen contenders rode along, with musicians stopping at intersections to perform for cheering crowds.

A women’s tea honoring Mrs Ed Zorinsky of Omaha is set for October 17 at 2 to 4 pm hosted by Dr Clarence Davis Jr. Downtown Homecoming Queen and king candidates are listed with floats entered by first through senior high grades featuring themes of household cleaning products.

Meals On Wheels Returns Start Monday In Osceola
The Meals on Wheels program returns to Osceola the coming season funded by three local churches and the Good Samaritan Center. Meals are served at noon Monday through Friday and cost $1.25. Deliveries require calls to Mrs. Emanuel Klein or Mrs. Ludwig Bohman by 9 30 a.m. starting October 18.

Lions Host Dinner for Ladies by Monroe Leader
