Harlan McKeag son of Mr and Mrs James McKeag sustained a left leg fracture in a football scrimmage yesterday afternoon. The captain and fullback carrying the bell, two bones were broken and the fracture described as serious. He was taken downtown and Dr Smith set the limb that evening. He is reported to be progressing well.

World record hen crowned after laying spree
A Norfolk Nebraska owned hen named Lady Amco has tied and then surpassed the world record by laying 154 consecutive days with an egg per day. The bird, raised at the Omaha plant of the American Milling company, used Amco feeds and attracted national attention as breeders converged to view the feat. The owner A R Lander declined 9500 for the hen and plans to set eggs next spring at 30 dollars each.

September Dairy Cow Test Shows Mixed Profit Despite Heat
Twenty four herds totaling 307 cows were tested. 255 cows in milk produced 141,319 pounds of milk and 5,584.1 pounds fat valued at 2929.66 dollars. Average per cow production was 460 pounds milk and 18.2 pounds fat with 5.19 dollars profit above feed cost. Five high herds averaged 722 pounds milk and 274 pounds fat. Five low herds averaged 245 pounds milk and 9.2 pounds fat. Two new silos built. three cows bought. two sold for breeding. no new members this month.
