Osceola Woman's Club Opens Year With Plans and Delegates
Osceola Woman's Club held its first regular meeting of the year on October 3 in the auditorium of the town hall. Delegates to the state convention at Gearney October 25–27 were elected including Mrs. W. R. Kepne and Mrs. Oscar Anfacson, with other officers and committee members named. The club planned to instruct delegates for the convention and approved bills and correspondence. Departments met to discuss the Drankic Department entertainment to fund the Wing Lear play trip to Kearney, with cast members listed and a review of a successful district convention. The Art Craft Department showcased modern quilts, the Music Department prepared for the cantata Three Springs, and Literature began an imaginary world tour.

Frederick Croisnant born February 2 1855 in Troy Grove Illinois died October 3 1927 at his Osceola Nebraska home at age 72. He joined Hollowville Lutheran Church later connected with the Osceola Methodist Episcopal Church. He married Sophia Rumph December 18 1896 at Hollowville and lived in Platte Center and a farm near Osceola before moving to town in 1923. Survived by wife four sons Edward Albert Harry Raymond and daughter Lydia 12 grandchildren and siblings. Funeral today at 2 pm at the M E Church with interment in Osceola cemetery.
