The Polk County Agricultural Association will meet at the Commercial Club Rooms in Osceola on Wednesday October 14 1914 at 2 pm. Life members and season ticket holders for the 1914 Fair may attend. The gathering is for officer elections with expected strong attendance.
Joseph A. Lemerka age 30 and Marie Benesch age 28 received licenses to wed in Thurston County. The couple hails from local jurisdictions and are set to marry after licensing.
The Lutheran Church holds Sunday School and Bible class at 10 a.m. Divine services at 11 a.m. and 7 30 p.m. Evening services will be in Singlish. This Sunday honors Institutions of Mercy and those dependent on them with worship and offerings. Remember Paul’s words to not be weary in well doing.
Ira Banta administrator of Jacob Knerr estate sells at the home of C B Knerr located one half mile south and four and a half miles east of Stromsburg on Tuesday October 20th at 1 o clock. Livestock includes six milk cows all fresh this fall a two year old registered Poll Durham bull one two year old heifer three yearling heifers five yearling steers one spring calf plus Poland China male pigs full blood with pedigree furnished if desired. Terms six months with bankable note at 8 percent. Pike Olson auctioneers.
