Otto F. Branting and Fred Hennings pledge to serve county commissioners with diligence and prudence. They oppose unnecessary offices such as the county overseer of roads. They seek funding for road and bridge work and vow to maintain county roads and bridges to a high standard.

The Mitchell Lewis Motor Company’s 1915 Model four cylinder car is mid voyage on a 7500 mile reliability run averaging 200 miles daily. Drivers Ziebes and Bennett pass through St Louis on the western lap headed toward Nebraska via Beatrice Lincoln and Omaha. A Lincoln visit by local Mitchell enthusiasts is planned.
The Annual Evening Time Social was held Tuesday afternoon under the Epworth League. About 45 persons attended as the event featured reminiscences and selections by league members. The program included topics on courtship marriage and school and provoked both smiles and thoughtful discussion.

Neighbors on Gospel Ridge organized and executed a joyful surprise for Mrs. E. P. Sturdevant’s fifty-fifth birthday Friday. About forty attended with all needed paraphernalia for an evening of fun and presented her a cut glass dish as a memento.
