Osceola Woman Esther Wieseman Shelmadine Dies at 69
Esther Verna Wieseman, born March 26, 1898 near Osceola, died Oct 6 1967 at Annie Jeffrey Memorial Hospital. She married Glenn Shelmadine in 1917, had five children, lived in several towns, and served as Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. Survived by mother Margaret Wieseman, four children, a sister and a brother. Funeral at First Methodist Church Osceola with interment in Osceola Cemetery. Memorial gifts suggested to Osceola First Methodist Church Memorial Committee.

Final rites for Carl Bull in Rising City
Clyde E Bull of Rising City was laid to rest at Circle Mound Cemetery after funeral services at the Methodist church. Born near Shelby in 1899 he worked for a grocery firm, served as a Merchant Marine, and married Helen Holderness in 1921. He led the Rising City fire department and served on the town board, with survivors including his wife, Alberta Peck, two grandchildren, and siblings.
