Gary Garey a former county extension agent now living in Omaha won this week’s Armchair Quarterback Contest. He will receive a $5.00 certificate from The Record and a visit from Osceola friends. Several contestants trailed, with others missing two errors. The season’s last contest appears in today’s Record. entries due by 5:00 December 5.

Polk County Weed Superintendent Harry Sterup was named an outstanding superintendent at the State Weed Conference in North Platte on November 12. Elmer Schlaphoff, Nebraska Director of Agriculture, awarded commemorative plaques to four honorees.
