Several cases of amateur thievery were reported in Polk County during the past week. A 1930 Chevrolet sedan belonging to Wayne Hill vanished from his garage Wednesday evening and was found Saturday near Osceola with a frozen radiator. A Standard Oil truck was looted for fifteen gallons of gasoline that same evening, and a Stromsburg ladies shop lost about 1500 dollars worth of clothing. Local residents and guests are listed visiting, hunting, or in town, while sheriff's deputies anticipate arrests soon.
