Obituary of A. O. Wiard of Chula Vista California
A. O. Wiard born December 25 1857 in Warsaw Illinois died October 31 1939 at his home in Chula Vista California. He was laid to rest November 3 in Mount Hope Cemetery San Diego beside his father. He lived in Wisconsin and Nebraska as a youth before moving to San Diego County in 1897 and to Chula Vista in 1897 where he worked for seventeen years with the San Diego Land and Town Company and later served as assistant postmaster during his wife Georgia A. Wiard’s tenure. He leaves a widow and extended family in Nebraska California and Kansas including Ellen Tonore Anna A. Anderson Clinton H. Lee Raymond C. Lee Earl V. Lee Joe Moore Roy Moore Bernice Melville and Madge Moore.
