Dr E Pearce Hayes of Havre de Grace Maryland will speak on Asia conditions at a church program November 23. Hayes recently studied Christian churches and schools in Okinawa Formosa Philippines Macau and Hong Kong and will report findings to the University Foundation and the Methodist Board of Missions. He is a Zen Maryland native and Johns Hopkins Drew Theological Seminary American University graduate who served as a Baltimore Conference pastor and YMCA worker.

St Paul Church Osceola Marks 50th Founding With Three Day Event
The St Paul church in Osceola observed its fiftieth anniversary with a Friday banquet and weekend services attended by about 250 members and friends. Former pastors Rev John Oberg Rev Paul Melin Rev Everett Bexell led the event along with MC Paul Monson and greeter Phil Nyberg. The program featured a sketch “Through the Years” and introduced two charter members Arthur Nelson and Miss Otelia Johnson as well as John G Carlson the oldest member. The present pastor Rev M Lewenson will depart in December for new duties.
