Matthes Dies in Windmill Accident Near Osceola
Herman Matthes, 72, was killed instantly when he fell from a windmill he was repairing on his Osceola area farm. He is survived by son Fred and daughter Gladys. widow Mrs Matthes had died years earlier. The family moved from Shelby two and a half years ago to the Albin Anderson farm. Funeral services were held in Columbus with burial in Columbus Cemetery.

Miss Margaret Gabriel and Emery Kuhnel were married at nine oclock Saturday morning in St Peter's church Fullerton in a ceremony officiated by Fr Virgil Walkowiak. The bride wore white satin and carried yellow and white chrysanthemums. attendants were Edna Buse and Walter Gabriel. After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was held at the bride's parents home. The couple will reside on a farm near Shelby.
