The crisp mornings of this week drive students to shed winter clothes and return to school life. With the first snowfall approaching, preparations and routines at O. H. S. unfold as students adjust to seasonal change.
At the school house Sean nicknamed August greets visitors removing boots. FFA members led by sponsor Mr Dealey visited KJSK radio for a safety while hunting recording. Upcoming events include a football banquet November 20 with guest speaker Lyle Bremser and senior tea hosted by PEO.
St Vincent Church lists services for the 25th Sunday after Pentecost on November 19 with catechetical instruction Saturday at 10 am and confessions 5 5 30 and 8 8 30 pm. Sunday Masses are at 7 30 and 10 30 am and weekday Mass at 7 30 am. Thanksgiving Day Mass is at 9 am.
The Lutheran Church lists Sunday School at 10 a.m. and Divine Worship at 11 a.m. The Luther League meeting, moved from this Monday to Monday November 27, is announced for members to attend.
Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church led by Pastor Alfield E. Franzen holds Morning Worship at 11 a.m. on the 24th Sunday after Trinity. Christian Adult Education Forum at 7:30 p.m. Next week events include CAEF on Tuesday at 8 p.m. Thanksgiving Service Thursday at 8 p.m. Choir rehearsal Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Mr and Mrs Wendell McCormick and three children returned from Olathe Colorado arriving Monday night Their in laws the Tschantres halted at Ramah Colorado overnight then joined them later The Nielsen family from Lincoln visited relatives here WSCS marked its anniversary with about 60 attending at Fairview Hall Local trips included the Dobson family to Lincoln and the Flicemans and Gilberts stopping at the Besker home before Gibert headed to military service Emmett Cook of Elmwood visited Tooker family and spent Sunday there

Families visit, births announced in Omaha, a local quarantine case for Gregory Burger, John Kula store back in business after a seven week fire, and a Methodist Ladies chicken supper to be held November 16 with tea apron sale. Visitors include the McCormicks and Tschantres, with local gatherings and hunting outings noted.
Mr and Mrs Bob Harman and their children of North Platte were Sunday evening dinner guests of a local family, sharing a meal and conversation.
