Miss Vyral Foster daughter of Milford couple W B Foster marries Wesley Paul Herrmann of Osceola at Emmanuel Evangelical Church Milford on May 23. The ceremony featured harp and violin bass music, a bridal party in lace and silk, and a reception with a musical program by Lincoln sorority sisters. The couple, University of Nebraska graduates, plan a southern honeymoon and will join Sigma Alpa Iota and Sigma Phi Epsilon respectively.

Woman Rescued From Oncoming Train at Union Station
J B Tschudy a janitor at the Union Pacific station saved a woman believed to live near Osceola from being struck by westbound train No 19 at 2 55 Sunday afternoon. The woman with two men left a car at the east end, returned to the platform and stepped onto the tracks. She was pushed to safety as the engine neared. Witnesses say she had been drinking and did not realize the danger. The trio then drove away.

June graduation at the University of Nebraska will not halt the education flow in summer. A record summer enrollment is planned with 2860 students last year. The six nine week plan combines courses ending July 18 and August 7 starting in June. Mrs Allen Wolcott and two daughters from Lincoln visited Stromsburg this week at the Morill home. Alumni events at Stromsburg High School drew 200 attendees with gifts and a new president. The community reported a car accident injuring Mrs Gust Iceberg, and graduation exercises for the class of 1930 were held with 34 diplomas awarded. The week included visits from Osceola and York residents and a bridge repair on the Meridian road.

Sudden Death of Claude Timm in Osceola Neb
Claude Carl Timm died suddenly of heart trouble Friday night at home in Osceola at age 36. He served in World War I, married Irene Goff in 1920, and left a wife and son Verner Claude plus siblings and mother. Funeral held Monday at the Methodist Church with American Legion pallbearers.

Clarence Taylor a 35 year old colored resident of Kansas City Mo was killed in an auto crash three miles east of Shelby around 430 Monday morning He and five members of the George EB Lee orchestra were en route to Omaha after performing at Grand Island the driver braked hard the front wheels locked and the car rolled over Taylor was thrown to the back and his head cut by glass from a window He died shortly after the accident Sheriff VanHoosen and County Attorney Stanton ordered the body transported to Shelby
