Young Farmer Devern Lind Dies By Own Action
Devern Lind age 25 son of Mr and Mrs John Lind of Polk neighborhood died by suicide Monday afternoon. After a daylong search his body was found Tuesday in the farm center concealed by bushes. He leaves a widow and two young children and is a nephew of former county commissioner Henry Lind. He had suffered low mood following a past accident when an older brother was killed.

Mrs. Anna Iceberg, about 68, died in a York hospital from infections linked to injuries suffered when struck by a car about ten days prior.
