Tuberculosis meeting highlights in Omaha and leadership changes
Miss Olive McBeth attended the State Tuberculosis meeting in Omaha. Dr. Mantz of Kansas City, principal speaker, will assume the national TB association presidency in June. Dr. J. Harry Murphy of Omaha will lead the Nebraska Tuberculosis Association for the coming year. The Tuberculosis Seal campaign total reached 169,071.27 dollars.

City and county notices show Osceola officials passed an ordinance May 6 1948 authorizing the sale of Lots 5 and 6 in Block 1 Original Town to Tillie J Wallace for 1000 with rent back for library use until a new facility opens. A remonstrance by 30 percent of qualified electors within 30 days from May 13 1948 could block the sale. otherwise the deed will be executed on behalf of the city.
