Spring Tea for Polk County Project Clubs Held At Stromsburg High
The Polk County Project Clubs plan a Spring Tea on May 25 at Stromsburg High School. Miss Clarice Bloom will present a 2:00 demonstration followed by a short program and tea in adjoining rooms. State Home Extension Leader Miss Florence J. Atwood is expected to attend. Door prizes honor the oldest and youngest mothers and the farthest attendee. A Christmas gift display from project clubs will be shown. Members are urged to invite guests and save the afternoon.

Mrs. Chester Carson Buried at Grand Island
Funeral services were held in Grand Island for Mrs. Chester Carson who died May 9 after a short illness at age 56. She was the widow of Chester Carson formerly of Osceola and survived by three sons and two daughters. Attending were Mr and Mrs Frank Joy and Tillman Joy. Howard Carson of Tacoma Washington came for the services and visited Osceola briefly before returning home.

Former Osceola resident buried Saturday
Mrs. Howard Fleming 380, a former Osceola resident, died Wednesday at her daughter’s home in Sioux Falls South Dakota where she had lived since 1947. Born November 3 1867 in Centerville Iowa she lived in Iowa and Nebraska most of her life and resided in Osceola 32 years. Surviving: son George R. Fleming Pocatello Idaho. daughters Mrs John G Hanson Sioux Falls and Mrs Malinda C Larsson Belvidere SD. four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Burial at Osceola cemetery followed by funeral service led by Rev G A Randall.
