The Osceola Community Club 4-H committee displays a silver loving cup in Ray Jewelry Store to honor the best 4-H club record of 1936. The winning club’s name will be engraved and the cup awarded at a public meeting, then held until a club wins it three times for permanent ownership. The Stromsburg community mourns the death of Mrs. Eric Forslund at her Stromsburg home. Born in Sweden in 1864, she emigrated to America and lived in the area for fifty years. Survived by husband Eric Forslund and two daughters, funeral services were held at the Swedish Free Mission Church with interment in Stromsburg Cemetery.

Osceola school presents The Magic Beanstalk at the high school auditorium drawing large crowds on Monday and Tuesday. Cast includes Burdette Backlund as Jack and John Mills as Captain Kidd with Juliana the cow portrayed by James Jackson and Lyle Mickey. The show featured pirates dancers a rhythm band and a costumed ogre with Miss Ruth Miller directing praise for staff and community.

Henry LaMont Bond born February 28 1847 in Chautauqua County New York moved to Iowa in 1856 and to Polk Nebraska in 1873. He married Luella Cruise in 1870 and died May 13 1936 at the Soldier's Home Barret Nebraska survived by son Oscar L Bond, daughter-in-law, two sons in law, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church with American Legion honor.
