In Osceola on Tuesday nine Little Ten schools posted nine records. O Neil of Wallerton won the 100 220 and 110 high hurdles with a time of 12.8 in the hurdles likely the best mark this year in the state. Osceola, led by Johnson Rogers and Joy, produced multiple winners as Fonda of St Edward set mile mark and Gustafson of Osceola surged to win the discus and set records. Final scoring tipped Fullerton and Osceola in the track meet with Superintendent Vedder reelected and Parker named treasurer.

A 400 by 300 foot Trenton plot will host a $7,500 monument funded by a congressional appropriation secured by ex congressman A. C. Shallenberger. Mabel Claire Ball born January 7 1886 in Clear Creek Polk County Nebraska died May 9 1930 at age 44 years 4 months 3 days. She married George McMeekin February 12 1908 and had six children Hazel B Gladys L Treadway Willis Wallace W Donna Jean Genon Deris. Survived by her mother Mrs Mary Ball two brothers Phillip J and Ralph W all of Shelby and many friends. She belonged to United Brother n Church since childhood and to Chiefton Castle Royal Highlander Lodge. Funeral Sunday 2 pm at U B Church Shelby with Rev J W Stiverson officiating. Interment Shelby Cemetery.
