Osceola Country Club convened at the Legion Hall with large attendance. Tom Reece was elected president, Lloyd Cole secretary, and S P Johnson Clyde Smith and W W Norton joined the board. The club approved a calendar for monthly golf rounds with refreshments, and dues for new members were reduced to ten dollars.

Fred Schwab born Arch Switzerland June 1856 and died March 16 after living in Kewanee Nebraska Osceola and Minden. He married Louise Zang on March 2 1886 and leaves four children Clara John Harry and Gladys plus his widow. He was a member of the Osceola Methodist Church. Burial was at Osceola Cemetery after services at the church March 20.

Pedestrian in Polk Struck by Car Sustains Severe Injuries
Mrs. Minnie Nicholson received two broken legs and facial and bodily lacerations when knocked down by a car driven by Carl Steelquist at Main Street and the highway. She was treated in Dr. Williams office and later moved to Aurora Hospital, where she is improving. Steelquist was absolved of blame as witnesses called the accident unavoidable.

About 125 farmers and friends gathered at the Methodist Church basement last Thursday for a potluck.
