Osceola tied with Fullerton for second in the Mid Nebraska Golf League meet at Osceola on Sunday June 24. A record 111 golfers registered, better than David City's 104 and Osceola's 84 last year, with W W Norton of Osceola the medalist at 80 and Columbus taking team honors at 425.

County farm tour starts with Morrill Homestead stop
The second annual county wide farm tour begins at 8:30 A M with a visit to the Morrill Homestead in Stromsburg and the Morrill Museum. The day features multiple stops on a 30 mile morning route and a 12 mile afternoon loop ending before 5 P M. Attendance includes local families urged to bring picnics and enjoy coffee at Osceola City Park.

Vivian Stowe Bush born May 15 1990 near Cainesville Missouri died June 25 at York Hospital aged 28 years one month nine days after brief illness. The Osceola Modern Woodmen Camp 820 won first place in the Junior Class drill at the M W A Encampment in Lincoln. Chief Forester Clyde Babcock led 16 men to a $75 prize and an invitation to Des Moines for the Iowa State Fair. Lindquist claimed second prize as best comedian. Floyd Lindquist earned third in individual forester drill. The event marked the 25th anniversary of Head Counsel A R Talbot and featured a weeklong program with a large parade the largest yet in a western city.
