County Agent Gary Garey announces boys and girls from the area are needed for detasseling. A sign up day with the Columbus Office of the Division of Employment Security is set for Wednesday, June 29, 3 00 to 4 30 pm at Garey’s Osceola office. applicants are urged to register to aid employers with numbers. program offers employment opportunities though not all applicants will receive jobs. Farmers needing extra help may contact Garey about available youths for tasks like irrigating and weeding.

Graveside Services Saturday For Twin Urban Infants
Graveside services were held for the twins of Mr and Mrs Francis Urban on Saturday June 18 at 9 30 am in the Catholic Cemetery at Shelby. Rev Victor Derwinski of St Vincent s Osceola led the service. The boy and girl twins were born June 17 at Annie Jeffrey Memorial Hospital in Osceola and died the same day. Apcolytes were Francis and Donald Barry Roger Dinges Timmy Anderson and Bobby Gabriel.
