The Stromsburg District Luther League met at St. Pauls Church Osceola hosting sessions Friday to Sunday with large attendance. Rev Emil Swanson Malmo led Bible lessons and Rev M W Gustafson Genoa presided with officers elected. a stereoptical lecture and district choir performances highlighted the program.

Mrs. Calmar Dunn underwent a major surgical operation at Osceola Hospital last Thursday performed by Dr. McGoogan of Omaha. Mrs. Lester McCormick was confined to Osceola Hospital Tuesday for minor surgery. First aid was given Saturday afternoon at Osceola Hospital to four Karns party members from Enid Oklahoma injured in an auto accident on Highway No. 39.

Cars collide on Highway injure seven Oklahoma tourists
A Saturday accident on Highway No 39 near Hester hill involved seven Oklahoma tourists and mail carrier Nels Brown. Brown, backing across the road to deliver a package, struck the Oklahoma car. the visitor vehicle rolled several times, suffering multiple cuts and bruises, while Brown was uninjured and his car had only slight damage.
