Funeral services for Col J H Presson who died in Lincoln on June 11 were held at his son Geo H Presson home and at the Methodist church with Rev M W Rose officiating. Masons conducted the cemetery rites and four of five surviving veterans attended. Presson, once a pastor here, had long served as a clerk in the governors office for 14 years. He was a G A R member. Pallbearers were A C Morrill L H Headstrom Charlie Clark Dr W V Sharp Ford Netsell and Alex Scott. Honoraries included Mayor A C Donelson and others.
